Kids Heart Challenge is in full swing and we are half way through our event! It is NOT too late to donate to help others affected by heart diseases and stroke and then your child(ren) will earn the Heart Heroes from Ms. Lee!

RUNNING CLUB—WE NEED COACHES 

This Monday 2/10/20  is the last day to turn in Running Club registration forms !!!!

What is the Oak Grove Running Club? 

This is a 10 week program that meets once a week

Runners will accumulate 25.2 miles through running games and laps. 

Training prepares children for the KIDS RUN THE OC MARATHON (KROC) on May 2nd at the OC fairgrounds. Their final mile will be completed at the KROC marathon in Costa Mesa. Practices will consist of running drills, obstacle courses, games and cardio bursts. Runners are expected to attend all practices and be respectful to the volunteer coaches. Oak Grove Running Club is open to all Oak Grove students - Grades K-5th, up to 200 participants (first come, first serve). Kindergarten and 1st graders need a parent/proxy at practice.

Make sure to sign up between February 3-10. All information is being sent home in Thursday’s folder.

MATH CHALLENGE #5 & 6

FREE & NO REGISTRATION

Where: Aliso Viejo Library (1 Journey, Aliso Viejo CA 92656)

When: 2nd Thursdays of the Month, February 13th @ 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm  

                                                                                           March 12th @ 4:30 pm – 5:30 pm  

Who: Elementary Grades 2 – 6th, PARENTS ARE WELCOME J

What: Geek out with Kosuke by testing your math knowledge with fun and 

             challenging word problems.

Why: Improve both numeracy and literacy skills in a fun environment.

          Mostly taken from Japanese workbooks, these problems are designed

          to further student’s critical thinking abilities.
