From Mrs. OCB

Rainy Day Pick Up:  I am hoping that we do not have any more rainy days…but just in case…In our continued attempt to streamline rainy day pick up, students that walk will be dismissed from the blue gate.  Hopefully, this will avoid the log jam at the HoF doors.

Acorn Park:  We are blessed to have a beautiful park next to Oak Grove. The park is maintained and owned by AVCA –not CUSD.  Please be safe and pick your child up from school and then enjoy the park together.  I know it is a few extra steps but the park is not supervised by staff and is open to the public.

Attention Parents of Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade Students…

California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) testing will begin on April 30 with 5th grade students taking the CAST (Science). Testing will continue with ELA and Math testing for 3rd-5th graders from May 6 through May 16, and make up testing will take place through May 24. Please avoid making any appointments before lunch during the testing window.

ALL VOLUNTEERS K-5th:  During testing (May 6-10& May 13-17) Oak Grove will be a Quiet School and volunteers will only be allowed on campus after 12:15.  We love our parent helpers but testing requires a quiet environment for our students. Thank you!!

All Star Bash

There are only a few more days until the All-Star Bash.  In order to make this event a success, we need your help.  There are several ways you can assist.

We need…

We still need over 80 volunteers to make this event happen.  Please follow the link below to sign up for your shift today. Remember you are welcome to have your child/children help you volunteer in a booth or attraction.  It really is a lot of fun and we really need everyone's help. Don't forget...Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents and older siblings are welcome to help as well.  You DO NOT need to have a volunteer badge in order to help. Sign up here:

We need items for the Cake Walk.  Donations can be any store bought baked goods (cookies, cakes, cupcakes, muffins, brownies, etc.) or candy.  Please bring all donations to the office the day before the All-Star Bash (Thursday, May 2nd) or the morning of the All-Star Bash (Friday, May 3rd).
